Sona Beauty ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or buy from us, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Personal data we collect

Account and order details: name, mobile number, email address, billing and shipping address.
Payment details: payments are processed by RBI-authorised payment gateways. We do not see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password.
Communication: messages you send us through the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
Usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and items added to cart, collected through cookies.

2. Why we use it

To process, ship and deliver your orders, and to send order, payment and delivery updates.
To handle returns, refunds, cancellations and customer support requests.
To issue GST invoices and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
To prevent fraud and keep the website secure.
To send offers and newsletters, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.

3. Consent

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you create an account, place an order or subscribe, and for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as fulfilling an order you placed. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; withdrawal does not affect processing already done, but we may not be able to complete orders that need the data.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is needed with:

Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order.
Payment gateways and banks, to process payments and refunds.
Hosting, email and SMS service providers that run this website for us.
Government authorities, when required by law or a valid legal order.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cart, and analytics cookies to understand how the website is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as the cart, may then stop working.

6. How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally 8 years). Other personal data is kept only while your account is active or as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and is then deleted.

7. Your rights

Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
Correct, complete or update your personal data.
Ask us to erase your personal data, unless we must keep it by law.
Withdraw your consent.
Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

This website uses HTTPS encryption. Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to serve you. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private.

9. Children

This website is meant for users aged 18 and above. Anyone under 18 may use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
